Black Friday is NOT for me. I do love a good deal, but only during mid-day and not when the rest of the world is on the hunt for the same deal. It's just not worth saving $5 to me.
So to my trooper friends and family who woke up early to brave the cold and crowds...
I feel so sorry for you!
(Please leave me a comment telling me about your great finds and unavoidable fights. The next best thing to me finding a great deal, is YOU finding a great deal!)

i was out there and I did find great buys mainly at walmart and price matching other black friday ads. the best part is 2 presents left and I am officially done Christmas shopping. Not too much drama from me today, I did dream last night that I got in a huge fight with all the cashiers at KMart and it ended with silly kicking and girls slapping and hair pulling as I ran out of the store barefoot carrying Dans xbox. When I woke up I almost called the whole morning off!!!
I just went to people watch mostly. Walmart at 5:00 was crazy, but so much fun, as soon as it was 5, there were fists flying and people screaming as they all tried to get the Xbox 360 deal that walmart had. It was soooo much fun to watch people go crazy. I just wandered around and found some great fleece pajama pants for Larry for $4 and Kung Fu Panda on DVD for $9. It was fun, I so am going again next year, just to put a smile on my face as I see all everyone go crazy over saving a dollar. :) Glad you had a great morning too.
I am right there with you. Nothing is worth me getting up at 4, especially when I can go the next day and maybe pay five dollars more(as you said). I have done it and facing the masses of people just isn't for me.
Yah, yah, Black Friday....what I'm interested in is how do you get 45 minutes on the treadmill without your kids busting in on you, or crying at the door? I'm super jealous!
Ya, that's what I used to do too... until the kids got older and more expensive! It's one thing to save $5 on a FisherPrice toy... But when they want ipods, a wii, and other electronics, it's the only way to go!
Rick and I started going three years ago and it's actually super fun going with him. We never get our heart set on anything so that we don't go crazy... but we always come home with everything we initially wanted. We even go out to breakfast. It is nice to have older kids so you don't have to worry about them.
This morning we got to Target at 5:30, were probably 1000th in line and got killer deals, probably saved $500 at least (plus the $250 gift card I won). All our Christmas is done and wrapped under the tree. I'm tired, but tomorrow I'll sleep in! :)
$5 ipods, $20 Kitchen Aid $7 BCG grey boats...you missed out. I feel sorry for you!
ha ha
What a good morning. How fun to have the kids help decorate.
Oh, I am excited about my $38 Aero Bed for company.
Your morning sounds really similar to our black friday morning. I am so with you on not wanting to get up early or deal with the crowds. I think this year I have found just as great of deals on the internet too.
You Utahn's are CRAZY!!! I have never seen anything like Black Friday in Utah Target. I agree with the lady who posted about young kids its older kids.... on toys its not a big deal to save $20 bucks but when you are buying pricey electronics for lots of kids... it might be worth it...and not to mention the 250 gift card! Just come do your shopping in CA... we are not so crazy. It was fun seeing you Friday!
You've got this all figured out! I'm with you - I don't think it's worth getting trampled at 5:00 in the morning to save a couple of bucks. It sounds like you had a nice Day After Thanksgiving. Hope the Holidays are going well for you!!
This is Brittany Tait...I don't know why it changed my user name! :)
K, so.. I don't do the black friday thing either, BUT I DID get online at 5:00 a.m. JUST to get a 500G hard drive from walmart.com!! haha.. THEN I went back to sleep at 5:15
