More Space for a Growing Collection...

My jewelry collection is always growing and the cheap stands I have been using to store my necklaces and bracelets I have found to be insufficient. Half of them were hidden and if I did find what I was looking for, it took five minutes to get it untangled. Not mention it made my dresser cluttery...
So I recycled some old shutters I had and found some unique knobs at various antique stores around town and on ebay...and made this...
I have to admit, I don't LOVE it, but I like it and I can find things more readily now. So this is it until I come up with something better. I need something good for my earrings now. Any suggestions?

Very cute. Love the knobs. Good job! I have no idea about earrings. I just have mine in a little three drawer storage bin. How boring am I?

Your sister's trip looked so fun. I love the pictures of Grams & Gramps. You ladies sure know how to have fun! Love it.

Hey Kim, it's Annie. You probably didn't think I ever read your blog. haha. I think I found it on facebook. Anyway, the earrings....what I've done that I love is I bought some plain wooden frame at michael's and painted it, then put wire mesh where the picture would go, and have my earrings on there, then it is hung with a ribbon. I'm sure I have a photo somewhere. I will try to find it. It works well for me.

Very creative, Kim! I'm super impressed. I have pretty much given up on all jewelry so don't look to me for an ingenious ideas. I love that you have a great collection though, and have to admit I'm a little jealous.

I have been struggling with the very same issue! Now that I'm into beading I have so much more jewelry. I used to keep my bracelets in one big basket but I could never find the one I want. I organized them by color into little buckets into the basket. But I like yours better - I love the different knobs - the creative juices are flowing!

Hey, I e-mailed you a few weeks ago. I take it you didn't get it. Or maybe it went to junk mail or something. Anyway, my e-mail is, hhnfres@hotmail.com. Thanks for keeping in touch. And we don't go to Utah very often, Brents sister lives in Smithfield, so we may go sometime up there, but not very often, we mostly meet her in California. We'll have to figure something out.

Hey Kim, it's Tim. Don't ask me why I'm reading through your blog about jewelry, but I'm taking a break from studying and catching up on the fam. There's this sweet box that stores sell to put your jewelry in. I can't quite remember what it's called, something like box of jewelry, or something like that. Anyway, maybe google it, Shelbie can show you how to google if you don't know how. Plus, Shelbie has a box of jewelry thingy and it hides and organizes all her moqui cave jewelry great.

I don't have a collection as big as yours tho, cuz necklaces hurt my neck, mostly I just have earrings.
