An Addition to Our Family...

That title would've tricked many of you had I not already mentioned the cat in an earlier post (if it did trick you-HA HA).Her name is Tasha Cookie Jonas (Tasha, from the Backyardagains and Cookie is my parents neighbors dog).
She is a stray that we have kind of adopted. I am convinced this is the perfect way for our family to have a pet. We didn't have to convice John of anything, it comes and goes as it pleases, it's not allowed in the house, and we're only slightly attatched. The children can play with her for their 30 minutes a day, then she takes off and isn't really seen again until she's hungry (I now put food and water on the back porch for her). She started coming around because one night we accidentally left our garage door open and she got some food out of the garbage can. The next morning Bailey spilled cheetos all over the driveway which were gone when we got home from the store. So I knew some kind of animal was on the prowel. It turned out to be this very sweet kitty, who I really think is just hungry and lonely. It has been fun for the kids and easy for me. So for now, we are a pet family.

Does anyone have a bonnet I can borrow?

Last night my mom and I canned salsa that we made from tomatoes we picked from our gardens. It was a much simpler process then canning meat, which is nice to know. When it was all done my mom said "How do you feel?" My answer, "Old and pioneery, but a little proud." I never thought I would turn into this canning, scrapbooking, carpool driving (in a mini van), den mothering, toilet scrubber that I am, but here I am and who would've guessed...this is where I have found all my happiness!
Thanks Ma for all your help.
BTW, this pic was taken at 10 last night so we beauty queens are a little under par!

My Little Aust is in Kindergarten (tear)

Today was Austin's first day of Kindergarten. He was so excited and all business about it. He did not want a ride from mom. He had his heart set on riding the bus, so John followed him on the scooter. He did great and came home so happy and grown up! What a sad thing for a mom to do!
That cat is a whole other post for another day (maybe tomorrow)

Adeline's First Day of Pre-School

My cute, sweet Addie started pre-school yesterday. I am a lot sad about it and almost hoping she doesn't do all that well so I can pull her out and keep her home with me. But I think she will love it.

What a darling little girl!
I love her flowered piggies
She jumped right into things
There is this cute tree house in the school that she wanted her picture taken in front of. Isn't she to die for?

10 Years!

Last night I went to my 10 year high school reunion. I was a little disappointed with the turn out, but it was still a good time. Here are a couple pics of some old friends and me (and my date).

This past week we did our annual Claybaugh family (my fam) vacation at Bear Lake. There are lots of pics, so I will spare you on text.
