I have been tagged quite a few times and have done so well at pretending I didn't know! DARN! Thanks a lot, Michelle.
Here it goes...
I was getting ready to graduate from high school. I really should have more detail than that, because the world did revolve around me at that time (as you know!), but I just can't remember much of it right now.
5 things on my to-do list...
1. Go to Ikea
2. Finish decorating for Easter
3. Make a few pillows (I'm pulling a little color into my guest room-GREEN)
4. Clean John's office (that's been on the list for a looooong time)
5. Get curtains up in my family room and kitchen. Happy, Cami and Mom?
So sad that my to-do list is all for my house!
5 snacks I enjoy...
1. Most 100 calorie pack that are sweet (the salty ones don't really do it for me)
2. Anything chocolate (surprise surprise)
3. Red and yellow peppers
4. Granola bars
5. Anything with peanut butter (apples, celery, m&ms)
5 places I've lived...
1. Orem, Ut
2. Provo, Ut
3. Logan, Ut
4. Clovis, Ca
5. Cedar Hills, Ut
(SO interesting!)
What I would do if I became a Billionaire...
Gosh, I would, of course, donate a lot (starting with my fam!), but that's not what the questions is really asking!
I would take my entire family on a tropical cruise for two weeks. Then we would go beach house shopping. We would travel all over and only fly first class.
I would build my dream house and dream yard on my dream lot. I would spare no expense in decorating. By the way, my dream lot is a huge one where we would also build homes from my mom and sister.
If I were done having kids, I would put my boobs back where they started and make my tummy not look like a deflated balloon. John would never let me do it!
I would buy a car with less than 50,000 miles! Wait- 2 cars with less than 50,000 miles! Yea baby!
5 jobs I've had...
1. Hogi Yogi (I started the family tradition! You're welcome Todd, Cara and Jonny)
2. Western Watts (what Utah Valley teen hasn't?)
3. Server (at 6 different restaurant)
4. Retail (Macy's and Dillards)
5. Stay Home Mom
5 things you don't know about me...
1. My most two hated jobs around the house are dusting and cleaning the lint trap! Dusting is barely even noticeable. Who wants to clean something that no one will notice? And that stinkin' lint trap, lint flies every where when you clean it, so you clean one thing, but everything else gets dirty. I hate it!
2. I HATE the color purple. Lavender is ok, but every other shade of purple makes me want to puke.
3. You wouldn't know it by looking at me, but I love to exercise. I walk/run 3 miles a day. It will soon be all run and more miles!
4. I want to go back to school and study literature and horticulture.
5. I want to write a novel. (I love to read them!)
There ya go. I wish I were funnier. I'm not going to stress anyone else out by tagging them! Love ya!

I Hate to Cook!
I need major help here! I am sitting here in utter frustration from dinner. I know many of you are in a similar situation as me and I'm hoping you will have some good advice for me.
Here is my problem...If I were to cook what I want for dinner, John and the kids won't eat it. If I cook what John wants, the kids and I won't eat it. If I cook what the kids want, John and I won't eat it.
So I feel like I am cooking 3 meals a night...mac and cheese for the kids, meat and potatoes for John and soup for myself. This is a pain for me to cook and clean up. If I cook only one thing, only one person is happy. If I cook a main thing, I still usually have something else for myself because of my diet. Then the kids are confused, "Why do we have to eat this crap and Mom doesn't?" (they don't really say "crap" but that's usually what it is).
I can't please everyone and it's so frustrating to me! What do I do? Who has good recipes that all their family likes? I also have a hard time finding things that are easy for my kids to eat. I usually find that half of it ends up on the ground (i.e. spaghetti) because they just can't get it from the plate to their mouth. Then I end up spoon feeding my 3 and 5 year olds!

Happy 30th John!
Sunday, February 24, 2008. John Michael Jonas turned 30! Welcome to a new decade in life! John and I have known each other for 8 years now. When I first met John, my first impression was "I have never met anyone like him." He's thoughts and ideas were new to me. We were total opposites and it was all so interesting and unexpected. Here are some things I love about him.
*He is painfully honest. That is something that has tagged him as being "tactless" or even offensive, but he never does anything maliciously. I have grown to depend on his honesty. I ALWAYS know the truth about his work, the bills, the kids, my hair (haha), his testimony and any other feelings. I love knowing that I know the truth.
*He is nonjudgemental. He is never critical of me. He thinks I'm beautiful whether I am dressed up to go out, 8 months pregnant, just out of bed in the morning, or on the treadmill. He never judges another on their apperance and hates to gossip.
*He is dedicated. Regardless of how he was raised, he is faithfully dedicated to the church. He has an unwavering testimony of Jesus Christ, Joseph Smith, and the Book or Mormon. I never have to drag him to church, FHE, or family scripture study and prayer. He motivates me to keep up on food storage. He wants to be 100% obedient.
*He adores our children more than life itself. When I was pregnant with Austin, I read and heard all about "a mother's love." I was scared that I would love the baby more than John would and he might be resentful. Boy, was I wrong! When we got him home from the hospital we sat on the couch with him and cried because we were overjoyed! We fight over who gets to change diapers because if you change the diaper, you get the baby. I had to make a rule that he has to kiss me as much as he kisses the kids because I will be holding one of them and he will come and lean in for a kiss. When I lean back, I get nothing, because he is leaning to kiss the child.
I could go on and on, but can't be boring you!
John, I love you deeply. I am so thankful you have chosen me to be with for eternity. I am in endless awe of YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Winter Sandbox
We now have 9:00 church! HOORAY! It is so nice to let my kids get good naps. The only bad thing about it is that it can make for a long day. This is an activity that I just stumbled on. I had ground some wheat to make rolls and had lots of flour out that needed to be put away. Addie climbed onto the counter and started playing in the flour with a spoon. Once her hands were in it and Austin became interested, I figured it was all over anyway. So I divided it between two cookie sheets and gave each of them a set of measuring cup and spoons. They literally played like this for two hours! It did make a mess, but clean up was fairly quick and easy and totally worth all the entertainment it gave them and the quiet time it gave me!

AHHHHHHHH!!!!
So this tote has been sitting in our cul-de-sac for the past couple of days.I started to think maybe it was one of ours that the kids had dragged out for some reason.
So as we were leaving to go to dinner tonight I told John to go see what's in it.
This is what he found...
AHHHHH!!!!

In case you were wondering, it's an albino python!!!
John came running back to the car with a frightened look on his face and told me there was some trash and a huge snake in it! We called all of our neighbors to see if they new anything about it and they didn't-WEIRD.
We were going to call animal control when we got home, but some how got the guts to see if it was alive.
It's not!
We called a "snake expert" in our ward and he came over to check it out. He said it's probably only been dead a few hours (that thing has been there for days)! So we called the police, just to report. They sent a cop who just said to give it to the trash man.
YUCK-O!!!

Silly Kids
My children are absolutely, without a doubt, the funniest people I know. They are so unique. Austin and Adeline have been playing so well together lately. It's been so fun because I have always been a little sad that they are so far apart in age. I'm so happy to see that they can still be good friends. Check them out playing dress up together. (Mom must have been gone-by the looks of Addie's face!)
By the way...Bailey is doing great today! She fought the bottle a little but, in the end, she took it and is starting to like it! Thanks for your support.

OH HAPPY DAY!
Can I get an Hallelujah! HALLELUJAH!!!
If you know what Bailey has been like for the last 10 months, you will be celebrating with me! Bailey has been such a picky little baby. John has nick named her our "sensitiva diva." When she was first born, if you didn't hold her just right, dress her just right, put her to sleep just right, etc. she would melt down and cry for hours. I definitely had some low moments, but for the most part I have felt blessed with large amounts of patience. Up to this point, we'd had everything figured out except the whole bottle thing. A plastic nipple would not do for our little princess...only the real thing for her. Nursing full time for 10 months is wearing and I was finally fed up. I just refused to nurse her today. I honestly thought it would take days and be an awful battle, but my prayers were answered and it only took one day (well, we will see what happens tomorrow). Obviously this was so monumental, we had to take pictures!

Happy Heart Day!
For Valentine's Day we went to a fun dinner put on by the Elder's Quorum (and by Elder's Quorum, I of course mean the Elder's Quorum presidents wife). We got to embarrass ourselves as participants in the Newlywed game, have yummy dinner catered by Carrabas, and dance! It was beautiful and super fun.
On this day I have to say that I absolutely love my husband. He is endlessly patient with me. He is an incredible father, who loves our children dearly wants to be involved in every aspect of their lives. He has been a true partner in raising our children (especially dealing with Bailey!) I often marvel at this life we have built. He has worked so hard to provide well for us and be around as much as possible. He loves me ALWAYS and always shows it. He is handsome, hard working, smart, passionate, kind, humble and helpful. He wants so badly to make me happy. What is better than that? I am so thankful he is MINE!
I love you John!
This is me with some of my friends in my ward...Mykin Higbe, Ellen James, Jen Marx

Man Cold
MY mom showed me this video and I thought it was so hysterical, I just had to post it. If you know John at all and what a wimp he is, you will know why I think it's so funny. I hope I'm not alone in having a baby for a husband when he is sick. Hope you get as good of a laugh as I did.

When Moms Away, The Kids Will Play
Announcing a special guest blogger on Kimberly's blog: John (the nerd who she made fun of for years because he was a blogger) Jonas
I just thought I'd let everyone know what we're doing while she's gone. I didn't think she'd have internet access at her hotel, but apparently she does so she might see this while she's gone and come home to us!
It's 10:15. I just got the kids in bed. No brushing teeth tonight (I honestly tried, but I can't find their tooth brushes or tooth paste).
About 45 minutes ago this is what we were doing:
First we made a mess with the magnetics
Then, Addie ate a knife.
After Austin attacked Addie with another knife, the sword fighting began.
Then Austin stabbed me in the heart and killed me (but just pretend) and that was the end of the sword fighting.
Then Addie got a hold of the camera and took this video:
She took a few others, but they were too big to upload.
While attempting to find their tooth brushes, Austin apparently got some cheese out of the fridge, because he came upstairs with a mouth overflowing with cheese (he couldn't even begin to talk because he was dropping cheese pieces out of his mouth).
All in a nights work.
